Broadly pyramidal broadleaf evergreen shrub. This is a male pollinator for Blue Holly series.  Foliage is handsome, spiny, lustrous dark blue green with dark purple twigs, taking on a purple cast in winter.  Moderately slow growing. Protect from wind and winter sun. Use 1 male to every 2-3 females.
