Compact, rounded, suckering, deciduous shrub.  Blooms in late spring with flat topped white flowers followed by persistent brilliant blue berries.  Foliage is glossy green and changes to red-purple in the fall. Very easy to grow and tolerant. Native to eastern North America. Better fruit set with another variety like Chicago Lustre.
