Small, deciduous tree with a broad, rounded habit. Slow-to-moderate growth rate. Fragrant, dull white, pea-like flowers appear in late spring are followed by flat seed pods. Dark olive green leaves are attractive in summer but produce no fall color. Coppery-bronze bark exfoliates on mature trees.
