A naturally occurring hybrid between white and swamp oak with an excellent growth rate, glossy dark green to bluish-green foliage and shaggy bark. Leaves turn reddish-golden in the fall and are retained into winter. The ovoid acorns are halfway enclosed in a thick cup. Drought tolerant once established.
