NATIVE - Deciduous shrub or small tree that typically grows to 10-15 ft. tall. Has bright shiny green leaves and edible fruits. Somewhat insignificant, creamy-green flowers bloom in spring. Flowers are followed by edible berries which ripen to red before finally maturing to black. Flowers attract butterflies and other pollinators, fruit attracts birds.
