Spreading, deciduous small tree that gives a punch of color to any garden. Blooms in very early spring, with rose-purple flowers. Foliage unfurls in spring a rich scarlet-purple, maturing to a maroon-green, changing to yellow in the fall. Plant in a somewhat winter protected spot.
