A native smooth aster cultivar with 1" violet blue flowers held in clusters at the tips of the arching branches. Pinch back young shoots in June if a shorter, denser plant is desired. A great source of nectar for migrating monarchs and other late season butterfly species. (syn. Symphyotrichum laevis 'Bluebird'). 3-4'
