An Ohio native with large yellow flowers and dark brown centers. A short-lived perennial but will remain in the garden if allowed to self-seed. Tolerant of heat, drought, and a wide range of soils but does not like wet, poorly-drained soil. May occasionally get powdery mildew. Attractive to butterflies and is a larval host plant for the Silvery Checkerspot. Goldfinches love the seeds. Deer resistant. 24 - 36"
