Big Bluestem is a clump forming prairie grass native to Ohio. The foliage changes color from bluish green in summer to a reddish bronze in the fall. Tolerates a wide variety of soil types and is very drought tolerant once established. A top choice for naturalistic plantings. Grow on the lean side to prevent flopping. Provides shelter and food for songbirds. Host plant for several skippers. May self-seed. 5 - 7'
