As hardy as the American persimmon and as large as the Asian, Nakita's large crops of 2 -2.5", flattish, red-orange fruit are certainly gifts. When fully ripe and soft this second-generation hybrid persimmon is sweet and flavorful. Fall foliage is a gorgeous orange color. Protect from wind.
