Upright, open, native deciduous shrub. Blooms in mid summer with conical, white flowers that fade to rosy pink. Foliage is dark green changing to vivid scarlet, burgundy and purple in the fall. Handsome exfoliating cinnamon colored bark. Requires some winter protection and mulch over roots. Easy to grow and slow to medium growth rate.
