A compact, cold-hardy evergreen shrub prized for its dense habit and small, glossy, blue-green leaves. Foliage often takes on a burgundy tint during the winter months, adding seasonal interest. This male holly variety does not produce berries but serves as an excellent pollinator for female hollies. An excellent substitute for boxwood and Ilex glabra for hedges, masses, and accents. Small white spring flowers attract pollinators. Deer, rabbit and salt resistant.
