Upright, rounded, loosely branched, suckering, deciduous shrub. Blooms in summer with tiny flowers followed by waxy, blue gray berries on female plants. Will need a male plant for best fruit set. Foliage is dark olive green with no fall color. Very easy to grow; very tolerant of poor soil.
