A cultivar of the native Switchgrass selected for its compact, upright habit. It blooms with clouds of airy seed heads early in the season and stays green well into fall. The seed provides food for birds. Plants are 24 - 30" tall with equal spread. For most upright growth, plant in lean soil; too rich of soil causes the plant to flop.
