This dwarf, shrubby form of bald cypress was found as a witch?s broom. Mint-green, feathery spring foliage darkens through the summer, then turns russet in the fall before dropping for the winter. Rounded cones appear in the first or second year and can be left on the plant to slow its growth considerably. They also can be removed to encourage vigorous growth. Useful as a specimen in a small garden.
