A shorter, more compact Penstemon with glossy near black, burgundy-purple foliage. Showy lavender to violet flowers with dark seed heads in fall. Deepest foliage color occurs in full sun although it can be grown in partial shade. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. 12 -24"
